To demonstrate this commitment, we present the Pathfinder Hacking Cyber Security Career Path Guarantee (referred to as the "Pathfinder Hacking Guarantee"). This guarantee assures you a full tuition refund, subject to the conditions outlined below, if you do not secure a Qualifying Position (as defined in the Terms) within the Guarantee Period following your completion of the Career Path certificate.
Commitment to the Program and Your Success
We expect your full commitment to your job search and a dedicated approach to our recommendations. As a graduate of the Career path, we anticipate your active involvement in your own success, involving significant effort in your personal growth and job search.
Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern the Pathfinder Hacking Guarantee:
- Eligibility Requirements*
To qualify for the Pathfinder Hacking Guarantee, you must meet these requirements:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Possessing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution is a requirement. While the Career path equips you with valuable cybersecurity skills and experience, many employers still value a Bachelor's degree. Exceptions may be considered for students who will receive their bachelor's degree within 50% of the course's duration.
- Alternatively, you may qualify if you possess a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in computer science, IT, or a security domain.
- Another pathway to eligibility is having at least one year of military experience in a military job code related to a security domain.
- Successful completion of the CompTIA PenTest+ certification exam is required upon course completion.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English will be evaluated through a third-party assessment.
- You must have legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada (if applying for positions in Canada) for at least two years after completing the Career path. You should currently reside in either the United States or Canada.
- Your primary objective must be securing employment within your Career path, and you must not have previously received a refund for another Pathfinder Hacking Career path. A change in your intent during the program will result in the voiding of your eligibility.
- You should be able to pass any background checks associated with job applications. Failure to secure a job offer due to a failed background check will disqualify you from a tuition refund.
- Pathfinder Hacking reserves the right to re-verify your eligibility at any time during the course and the Guarantee Period. Providing false or incorrect information related to eligibility requirements will result in the voiding of your eligibility.
Post-Completion Job Search Requirements
After approval for completion following the mandatory requirements listed above:
- You are required to apply for a minimum of 10 Qualifying Positions per week, as recommended by Pathfinder Hacking's Career Coaches, to maintain an active job search. These guidelines are based on industry best practices and aim to improve your chances of securing suitable employment opportunities. Each application must be fully completed, and one follow-up must be conducted for each application.
- Actively demonstrate your ongoing skill development with a minimum of two activities per month. This ensures continuous professional growth and keeps you updated with industry trends. Pathfinder Hacking's Career Curriculum provides a comprehensive list of qualifying skill development activities.
- Build your network by reaching out to at least 10 individuals per week and conducting four unique informational interviews per month, as outlined in your course career curriculum. Career Coaches may adjust weekly and monthly minimum activities based on individual coaching plans.
- Networking outreach includes email, LinkedIn messages, meetups, and conferences. Consistency in professional networking, including making course-specific contacts and follow-ups, is crucial for job search success.
- Informational interviews, whether in person, via video chat, or by phone, allow you to learn about real-life experiences related to your course of study or companies of interest. These interviews are not actual job interviews or discussions with recruiters.
- Schedule calls with a Pathfinder Hacking career coach as instructed.
- Follow the guidance provided by the Pathfinder Hacking Career Strategists team, including building your network and applying for job types that align with your level of experience and areas of expertise. Maintain realistic expectations about the type of first cybersecurity job that suits you.
- Provide the Pathfinder Hacking Career Strategists team with a weekly summary of job-related activities using the provided tool, including all job applications submitted and networking efforts made. Additional job-related information may be requested by Pathfinder Hacking.
- Respond to placement-related communications from Pathfinder Hacking within 72 hours.
- Act with reasonable and good faith efforts to secure a Qualifying Position.
- Keep records of all job search activities. Pathfinder Hacking reserves the right to request documentation or evidence of your actual submission of applications, informational interviews, networking efforts, and skill development activities to verify your compliance with this requirement. Career Coaches may adjust weekly and monthly minimum activities based on individual coaching plans.
How This Guarantee Applies To You
Without limiting the foregoing, situations that void this Pathfinder Hacking Guarantee include, but are not limited to:
-
Declining a job offer for a Qualifying Position.
-
Opting not to conduct a job search related to your course during the Guarantee Period. You may suspend your job search for a maximum of six months by providing written notice to Pathfinder Hacking and obtaining written approval. If you receive an offer for a Qualifying Position during the suspension period, your eligibility for a refund will be terminated. Additionally, if you receive an offer for a non-Qualifying Position, it will invalidate the Job Guarantee. After resuming your job search following the suspension period, Pathfinder Hacking reserves the right to extend the Guarantee Period by up to six months to account for any interruption in your job search.
-
Deciding to search for a role that does not meet the Qualifying Position criteria above or is outside the cybersecurity field.
-
Accepting a role that does not meet the Qualifying Position criteria above or is outside the cybersecurity field before the Guarantee Period ends.
-
Failing to put forth sufficient and consistent effort in your job search, as outlined above.
-
Failing to maintain consistent communication with Pathfinder Hacking Career Strategists throughout your search, including notifying us of any job offers received.
-
Losing your work authorization or lacking sufficient work authorization that meets the requirements above during your search, even if you initially expected to have authorization or previously had appropriate work authorization during your Career path program.
-
Significantly altering your job search strategy during the Guarantee Period, including changing the Metropolitan Area of search or industry, without prior agreement from Pathfinder Hacking.
-
Failing to follow through with the interview process for Qualifying Positions in a timely and professional manner, including not meeting employer expectations for interview participation, response to employer communications, punctuality for interviews, and providing necessary documents or follow-up as expected by employers.
-
Not applying for jobs suitable for your background or experience as discussed in your calls with Pathfinder Hacking's Career Strategists team.
-
Missing or rescheduling/canceling a call with a Career Coach or mock interviewer with less than 24 hours' notice on three or more occasions.
Certification for Reimbursement
If you believe you qualify for a reimbursement, you must provide a written and signed certification along with documentation demonstrating that you have met all of the Terms and have not been offered any Qualifying Positions within one calendar month after the Guarantee Period.
